Abstract:This paper describes the principle of water surface evaporation measurement based on the ultrasound.And the main error sources of this measurement and its compensation resolutions are analyzed.A method of improving precision of the measurement of water surface evaporation is proposed,in which the transmission speed of ultrasonic wave is corrected by measuring air temperature and humidity.The non-linear error is compensated with the least-square method.In addition,the module of wireless data transmission based on GPRS is designed,which makes it possible to telemeter evaporation.The hardware and software of the system are introduced and some experiments are done in this paper.The result indicates that this applied system has higher precision and better stability.
