Abstract：In the L-band radar upper air meteorological observation,replay ball is one of the factors affecting the quality of upper air meteorological observation,upper air meteorological observer has been puzzled by replaying ball and signal overlapping,and it is also a difficult problem affecting the quality of upper air meteorological observation.Based on this and combined with working practice,this article summarizes some operating experiences and skills of replaying ball and provides a reference for complete the upper air meteorological comprehensive observation better.It focuses on analyzing the issue of overlapping signals,and puts forward specific solutions that is by adjusting the later radiosonde frequency to stagger frequencies of two radiosondes,so the L-band radar can only receive the corresponding radiosonde frequency. This method has fundamentally solved the signal overlapping problems caused by replay ball,and has been verified in working practice. The effect is good that greatly improves the quality of the upper air meteorological observation.
