Abstract Soil moisture meter is a kind of fairly advanced automatic instrument whose widely application can be convenient and fast in getting continuous soil moisture data. New soil moisture meter can be put into operation just through the test based on the standard of artificial soil drying method after its completion. For the sites that can not be passed the inspection, the operational improvement scheme are analyzed in detail.
