A new method for automatic identification of peaks in noisy signals based on normalized difference

Abstract  A new method for automatic identification of peaks in noisy digital signals is put forward based on normalized one and two orders difference. The basic principle and corresponding data processing technology of this method is introduced. And the software realization is also briefly described. The method is tested with an example. The results show that the method has few thresholds with simple processing and easy software realization. The identification of peaks is accurate and shows excellent performance on the duplicate and weak peaks. As a whole,it is a simple,valid and universal method for automatic identification for the peaks.
