Abstract The database for disastrous weather needs to be added new disastrous data in order to facilitate operational staff summarizing weather patterns and improving prediction ability.The database addition by classifying,identifying and storing real-time meteorological data in a period time has been getting a strenuous and inefficient work.This paper introduces the realization of automatic identifying disastrous weather and automatic adding relative meteorological data by using VB programming in Qinghai meteorological observatory,which can effectively improve the forecasting capacity.
