Abstract The recent elevation data gap echo map scanned by the Sanming new generation weather radar in the flood season significantly impacts the stability and accuracy of meteorological observation data.Through a comprehensive analysis and measurement and an examination of schematic circuit diagram and signal process procedures,it found that the errors were primarily due to the malfunction failure of hardware signal processor (HSP).This paper introduces the mechanism and management of HSP and summarizes some personal experiences for the maintenance of weather radar HSP.
