Abstract The weighing precipitation sensor in Nanyue mountain weather station is often frozen in winter,so that the phenomenon of abnormal observation data is observed.In order to solve this problem,a temperature control anti-freezing instrument for weighing precipitation sensor is developed.It is based on intelligent temperature control system,and equipping with heating tape,temperature monitoring sensors and other components.When the ambient temperature is closing to the freeze point,the instrument heats the sensor.Once the temperature is higher than the threshold,it automatically disconnects and stops heating.Through the whole winter field test in 2016,this instrument solves the data abnormality problem of solid precipitation data in cold weather due to freezing rain,which has good practicability,stability and extensibility.
