Abstract This paper develops a 3D display system of airport Doppler weather radar by using VS2010 platform and VTK function library.The system uses four screen mode real-time display composite reflectivity product,2D vertical cross section product at the strongest echo,volume rendering product and surface rendering product.And the arbitrary vertical cross section product,arbitrary volume rendering product and 2D vertical cross section of arbitrary point can be obtained through mouse interaction on the composite reflectivity product.By these products,forecasters can better visually monitor and analyze the spatial distribution of echo,and provide more accurate forecasting servers for air traffic controllers and airline users.
