Abstract During the detection by L-band sounding radar,this paper elaborates the operating methods from the preparation before releasing the ball to the casting processes,and the log data processing is also introduced.The special situations that may occur during the whole exploration process are effectively dealt with and systematically analyzed.The purpose is to improve the working quality for the personnel of the high-altitude detection stations,which could provide references for getting objective,real and effective data in high-altitude detection.
