Abstract Based on the literature review at home and abroad,the hydrological characteristics of arctic sea ice,such as sea ice area and thickness change,wave and current change,are obtained.The mechanism of arctic sea ice change and the interaction between sea ice and ocean waves are summarized.It has explored the frontier hot spots and development trends of the hydrological characteristics of the Arctic from multiple levels and perspectives.Due to the complexity of climate change in the Arctic region,there is still a great space for future research on the hydrological characteristics of the Arctic.It is necessary to conduct in-depth research and analysis on arctic environmental technology,database construction and ice-wave interaction,so as to provide data support and scientific reference for Arctic ice situation prediction and waterway application in China.
