Analysis of temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of short-term heavy rainfall in Zhijin county

Abstract  This paper uses the hourly precipitation data from the national basic weather station of Zhijin county and 25 regional automatic weather stations in the county from April to October in 2010 to 2020 to statistically analyze the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of short-term heavy precipitation in Zhijin county.And the short-term heavy precipitation is divided into four grades.The characteristics of monthly and diurnal variation of short-time heavy rainfall of different grades are analyzed in detail.The results show that the short-time heavy rainfall in Zhijin county is high in the central and southern regions,and low in the north.In terms of monthly variation,the June and July are the most frequent periods,and the precipitation intensity is the largest in June,which shows obvious night rain.The analysis results provide data reference for further heavy rainfall meteorological service in Zhijin county.
