Abstract The article takes the Qinghai Tibet Plateau region of China as the research area, through complementary application of measured snow depth data from meteorological stations (hereinafter referred to as “measured snow depth”) and satellite remote sensing inversion snow depth data (hereinafter referred to as “remote sensing snow depth”) from 1990 to 2019, the difference between measured snow depth and remote sensing snow depth is analyzed to evaluate the accuracy of remote sensing snow depth.Using various methods to correct remote sensing snow depth, forming the best quality long-term series remote sensing snow depth correction dataset.Summarize the typical trends and characteristics of spatiotemporal changes in snow cover, revealing the response of snow depth to temporal changes in the process of global climate warming, in order to provide reference for the application of snow cover data in snow disaster prevention work on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau.
