Abstract  The article uses the raindrop spectrum, automatic rainfall station, sounding, and satellite cloud image data of a hail weather process in Weining County,Guizhou Province on June 11,2019.Mathematical statistics and other methods are used to study the changes in precipitation particle number concentration with diameter, precipitation particle with velocity, microphysical characteristics of raindrop spectrum during hail process, and the contribution of precipitation particles at different scales to rainfall intensity. The results show that the date calculated the DSG1 precipitation weather phenomenon meter is consistent with the rainfall trend observed by the Weining national reference station.Large diameter particles or misclassified precipitation particles exhibit a bimodal pattern, with 2 mm to 5 mm particles contributing the most. The radar reflectivity factor of raindrop spectrum inversion is related to precipitation intensity. This study reveals the raindrop spectrum characteristics of this hail process.
