Verification and evaluation of meteorological station location information in observation data |

Abstract The artical is based on hourly observation data from regional automatic weather stations in Fujian Province from 2009 to 2020,the latitude,longitude,and altitude data of the stations were verified,and the effectiveness of location information verification was evaluated using hourly temperature observation data from regional stations.The results showed that the annual average error rate of location information verification in the observation data of regional automatic weather stations in Fujian Province was 12.76%,with the error rate of latitude and longitude information being higher than that of height information.The annual average error rates of the two were 10.02% and 7.78%,respectively;Time consistency and spatial consistency checks are the main methods for detecting location information errors in station observation data.The annual average error rates for latitude and longitude information detected by the two checks are 4.62% and 7.36%,respectively,and the annual average error rates for station height information are 2.71% and 4.44%,respectively.There is a significant difference in the effectiveness of temperature fusion products before and after regional station location information correction.Through case analysis,the average absolute deviation,root mean square error,and correlation coefficient of the fusion products after correction are better than before correction.
