Abstract In order to solve the problem of low level of refinement in the Rose system map of weather radar in Xiangxi Prefecture,which is difficult to meet practical work needs,multiple custom map layers were created using shp format maps,Baidu maps and other data sources,and tools such as Python and Baidu map development were used to achieve the display of three-level geographic boundary information,shooting points of artificially influencing work,automatic weather stations,reservoirs,high-speed lines and other related information on the radar map of Xiangxi Prefecture. This enriched the original map information,made the positioning of strong convective weather waves more accurate,and improved the short-term warning service capability of Xiangxi Prefecture.
