Analysis of multisource snow depth observation data during a snowfall process in Beijing area |

Abstract By selecting a representative snowfall weather process in the Beijing area from February 13 to February 14,2022,the snow depth data observed by manual,HY-WP1A weather phenomenon video intelligent observation instrument,and DSJ1 ultrasonic snow depth instrument from 20 national meteorological observation stations in Beijing were collected and organized.Analysis was conducted from multiple aspects such as snow formation time,snow depth,and snow depth difference.It was found that the consistency between the maximum snow depth measured by manual observation and ultrasonic snow depth instrument was good,but the consistency of hourly data was slightly poor.However,the weather phenomenon video intelligent observation instrument had data jumps and data was not zero in the absence of snowfall or snow depth.Further quality control algorithms need to be upgraded.After the equipment upgrade,Further verification will be conducted.
