| Analysis of lightning distribution and echo characteristics of hail in floating beam Leping supercell |

Abstract In order to distinguish two kinds of supercell storms with different intensities,the lightning distribution and echo characteristics of two supercell hails in Fuliang County and Leping City of Jiangxi Province on March 3,2025 were analyzed by using the products of "Tianyan" system,such as lightning distribution,Radar Mosaic and vertical structure.The results showed that two cold fronts invaded Jiangxi Province,causing hails in Fuliang County and Leping City,respectively.The weather systems such as the surface cold front,the southwest inverted trough,the northern side of the 500 hPa and 700 hpa jet stream,and the 850 hPa shear are the important influence systems of the hail process;The supercell occurs in the mesoscale thunderstorm echo group and has dense lightning distribution.From the lightning distribution evolution diagram,we can see the moving track and development trend of the mesoscale thunderstorm echo group;Hails in Fuliang County and Leping City have different characteristics,which can distinguish the echo characteristics of classic supercell and weak super cell.Distinguishing these echo characteristics can better judge the size of hail,which is very important for the early warning and prediction of hail weather.
