Abstract  The article uses daily precipitation data from three national stations in Suining from 1961 to 2020, and four extreme precipitation indices based on the RClimDex model.Linear regression, R/S analysis, M-K mutation test, sliding t-test, and wavelet analysis were used to study the change characteristics of extreme precipitation in Suining from 1961 to 2020.The article calculated the threshold, frequency, and intensity of extreme precipitation in Suining, and analyzed in detail the trends, cycles, and mutation tests of the four extreme precipitation indices. The results obtained are expected to be helpful for business personnel in studying extreme precipitation.
