Abstract  The article applies monthly data on total solar radiation, floating dust days, sandstorm days, precipitation, sunshine hours, etc.from the National Reference Meteorological Station in Hotan City from 1961 to 2023.Linear propensity estimation method is used to analyze the climate change trend of total solar radiation and sandstorm days in Hotan City. The results show that from 1961 to 2023,the total solar radiation in Hotan City showed an insignificant increasing trend, while the number of sandstorm days showed a highly significant decreasing trend. The total solar radiation in Hotan City experienced a sudden change from high to low in 1966.The frequency of sandstorms in Hotan City is the main factor affecting the annual total solar radiation in Hotan City.
