Exploration into the relationship between Laiyang chili yield and meteorological conditions |

Abstract The article is based on the yield per unit area and meteorological factors such as temperature,precipitation,sunshine,and wind in Laiyang City from 1994 to 2022,Correlation analysis and testing were conducted using.Excel and SPSS software to select meteorological factors that are significantly correlated with the entire growth period of chili,and to construct favorable meteorological indicators for improving the yield of chili in Laiyang.The results showed that the yield of Laiyang chili pear was significantly correlated with meteorological factors during the flowering period,physiological differentiation of flower buds,rapid fruit enlargement period,fruit enlargement and sugar accumulation period,fruit maturity and harvesting period,and other growth stages.More than 80% of the meteorological elements in a bountiful year are conducive to high yields.In all bountiful years,the highest temperature in late April is less than 28 ℃,the number of rainy days during flowering is≤1 day,the average wind speed in early July is greater than 2.6 m/s,there are no strong winds in mid September,and the average temperature during fruit ripening and harvesting is less than 16.8 ℃.In all lean years,the sunshine hours in late August are less than 80 hours,and the average wind speed in early September is greater than 10.9 m/s.
