Evaluation and analysis of 2D ultrasonic wind sensor operation under complex climate conditions |

Abstract In order to study the stability and data effectiveness of 2D ultrasonic wind meters operating under complex climate conditions,data from ultrasonic wind sensors and mechanical wind sensors at the Emeishan National Reference Climate Station on November 15,2023 were used to introduce methods for evaluating data integrity and comparability.The integrity and comparability of data such as wind speed correlation,wind direction consistency,and wind speed trend of ultrasonic wind sensors were analyzed and discussed.Through analysis,it is concluded that the observation data from the ultrasonic wind sensor is complete and the wind speed correlation is moderate.The trend of wind speed changes is basically the same,and the consistency rate of wind direction is high.The research results provide theoretical support for the commercial application of 2D ultrasonic anemometers.
