Analysis of lightning characteristics of thunderstorm echo group in Jiangxi Province during the midsummer of 2023 |

Abstract In order to further improve the monitoring and early warning of lightning weather in Jiangxi,this article uses lightning data and radar echoes to analyze the lightning characteristics of 16 thunderstorm echo groups in the summer of July and August 2023 in Jiangxi.The results show that under the subtropical high pressure situation in midsummer in Jiangxi,the thunderstorm echo group is most likely to occur from 14:00 to 18:00.During the 16 thunderstorm echo groups,there were short-term heavy rainfall,thunderstorm gusts,and dense lightning.The thunderstorm echo group is distributed in six regions of northeastern,western,central southern,central eastern,northern,and southern Jiangxi.The research results provide an analytical basis for the monitoring and early warning of thunderstorm echo groups in midsummer in Jiangxi.
