Abstract Time standard has high accuracy and high stability, which is the fundamental guarantee for the running of the polar orbiting meteorological satellite acquisition system. XLi Time & Frequency System is the combination of good long term stability GPS and good shot term stability Rb oscillator, it provides accurate time for the equipment in the network. So it is important to ensure it work normally all day. Based on the practical application , this paper introduced the principle of the XLi Time & Frequency System, described the fault, analysed the reason, and indicated troubleshooting method for reference. It provided an important basis for fault finding and maintenance.
