Abstract The uncertainty of linear regression equation for wind speed sensor is an important parameter for measurement confirming.Based on the evaluating theory of uncertainty,the error sources from the uncertainty of linear regressive equation forwind speed sensor are discussed in detail.Then,the least square method used to evaluate the uncertainty is proposed and its evaluating procedures are introduced.In order to show the process clearly,this paper gives an example of evaluatinguncertainty of linear regressive equation for meteorological wind speed sensor.The calibration result is V=-(0.56+0.99V′) m/s and U=±0.74 m/s.Theresults show that the method based on least square method is feasible to evaluate theuncertainty of linear regressive equation for wind speed sensor,which can also be extended to evaluate the uncertainty of linear measurement system.
