Abstract This paper introduces an automatic rainfall monitoring system with features of timely,accurate,visual and complete functions.The system consists of 94 telemetry stations and 1 central station.After realtime collecting the data by the server,the data can be decoded,corrected,and rational checked by the system software and be stored in the SQL database.This system can realize functions of data aggregation,query and monitoring,which saves a lot of manpower and material resources and lays a solid foundation for providing high quality service in flood and drought control.
