Abstract Temperature,depth and flow velocity are the basic elements of hydrology.The sensor is the key device of accessing to hydrological information.However,hydrological sensors make little progress in our country.In order to promote hydrologicalsensor localization,taking three kinds of hydrological sensors of temperature,depth and flow velocity as representatives,this paper compares advantages,disadvantages and application of existing sensors in detail,and focuses on analyzing development tendency of three kinds of the hydrological sensor.
