Abstract In order to meet the needs of high resolution marine exploration,a new 50 kJ super large energy plasma source is introduced in this paper.It is divided into three parts:pulse power supply,transmission line and emission electrode.During the sea trial,the plasma source is stable and reliable,and the charge and discharge rate are stable.Compared with the traditional air gun source,the plasma source has obvious advantages in resolution,and having a broad application prospect in shallow sea area and high resolution exploration.
