Abstract With the advancement of meteorological modernization construction,meteorological messages are not transferred through the radio room of the post office or artificial telephone transmission,but it is automatic transferred by use of FTP program within the LAN created based on the Internet.According to statistic system ASOM in China Meteorological Administration,timeliness of meteorological messages transmission in each province has reached an average of more than 98%,which means in a year any station that has 3-4 days network interruption will cause messages transmission rate in every province during the whole year lowering than the national average and affect service quality.The network interruption in the bureau of the city and county is the chief reason that causes the message cannot be automatically transferred.The problems mentioned above can be solved by using backup transmission for meteorological messages based on wireless network card.
