Abstract The data upload rate and timeliness rate of regional automatic weather stations(AWS)is one of the key factors to weigh their level of detection and operation capacity.In the process of guaranteeing regional AWS’s data transmission, operators on duty find many missing reports before they completely stop working.However, it is difficult to notice the data missing due to the large amount of the stations and the data, and eventually leading to the paralysis of these stations.Aiming at the status mentioned above, this paper analyzes the cause of reports’ missing and realizes the automatic monitoring of data transmission and the intelligent location of station faults by real-time monitoring of the data transmission.By using MATLAB development software, combined with the testing based on 149 regional AWSs operation in Nanping, Fujian province and comparing the simulation results with the actual operation situation, it is shown that the proposed scheme is feasible and superior.
