Abstract This paper studies on the obvious inconsistency of horizontal wind direction and wind speed of wind profiler radar in Xinjiang Urumqi international airport.From the perspective of signal processing,utilizing the existing products of the wind profile radar,the consistency algorithm and horizontal wind synthesis algorithm are used to calculate the radial velocity value.Through the analysis and validation to the calculated results,the problems are found out.
