Research on the graphic visualization of meteorological observation data based on Web and IDL |

Abstract After analyzing the communication between C# and IDL,a graphic display method and implementation mechanism of meteorological observation data is proposed based on IDL and Web technology.The spatial distribution maps of basis meteorological elements like maximum temperature,minimum temperature,mean temperature,precipitation and sunshine hours from 87 national stations are generated in Jiangxi province by using this graphic display method.The maps are rich in colors and the curves are smooth.The spatial distribution characteristics of the meteorological elements can be showed well in these maps.This graphic display method is applied to a Web system,and a real-time graphical display in the browser side is achieved,which proves the applicability and feasibility of this method used in actual project application.
