Comparative analysis on observation difference of three kinds of instruments for rainfall observation |

Abstract By means of 155 groups of effective rainfall observation data from three different types of rain gauge that used in Longde meteorological observation field located in south mountain area of Ningxia,this paper comparatively analyzes the differences of hourly precipitation value,daily observation data at eight o'clock in the morning and eight o'clock in the evening.The results show that the differences between precipitation values from artificial rain gauge and SL3-1 tilting rainfall sensor are smaller.But the observed results in DSC3 weighing precipitation sensor are less than the first two gauges.In addition,the more precipitation magnitude is,the more errors there are.Especially if precipitation is more than 5 mm,its error is higher.The analysis indicates both of resolution and response time of the facility will cause observed precipitation errors.
