Abstract  Based on the principles and system structure of atmospheric radiation instrument in the new automatic weather station, this paper gives out the total radiation troubleshooting processes and steps of the examination for various fault phenomena as well as treatment measures for abnormal data and missing data. Also a specific treatment has been put forward to the hour-file of radiation corrections editing and the manual modification of radiation data for the new automatic weather station. Finally, the specific process for daily maintenance of the radiation observation equipments and operations such as capping on radiation meter has been showed, improving the data quality of radiation observation.
