Abstract Meteorological observation is the basis of meteorological work.The information and data of meteorological observation play a very important role on weather warning forecast,climate forecast,scientific research,disaster prevention and mitigation and other kinds of meteorological services.Observation systems are composed of observation platform,observation instruments and data processing etc.The observers publish weather report (METAR and SPECI) that formatted by various meteorological elements into meteorological database,using for information exchange and resource sharing.It considered a mistake or serious mistakes by delaying and leaking messages in the rules of meteorological observation business.This paper analyzes how to correctly release meteorological observation message and the typical faults during the publication are summarized.
