Abstract Cultivating the practical innovation ability of college students is the necessary foundation for the rapid development of society.This paper explores the cultivation methods of practical innovation ability of engineering students,and focuses on the research object of meteorological students.First of all,it points out the shortcomings of the innovation spirit and practical ability cultivation of engineering college students.Secondly,for these shortcomings,the reasons have been explored.Finally,in order to improve the training ability of the students in engineering colleges and universities,this paper puts forward the training plan for innovation ability of college students by taking meteorological equipment engineering students as examples.
