Abstract This paper introduces the working principles of wind sensor.Some methods and principles for faults judgment are put forward by taking some breakdown examples such as short circuit,open circuit,larger error in data measurement and missing data etc,due to the wind sensor of automatic station exposing in the open air in a long term,which will provide certain references for ground observers in terms of fault inspection and maintenance.
