Overview of ground-based remote sensing observation techniques for air temperature,humidity and wind profiles |

Abstract Temperature,humidity and wind are basic parameters of atmospheric thermodynamic and dynamical states that are used in numerical forecasting and climatic variation model widely.Taking three elements of temperature,humidity and wind as research objects,the common methods of remote sensing measurement are discussed.The observation methods and development status of three kinds of ground remote sensing observation systems (wind profiler,microwave radiometer,laser radar) and their technical advantages and problems compared with other similar equipment are mainly analyzed.And the prospects for how to improve the measurement precision of atmospheric vertical profile are made.
