Abstract To solve the problems of real-time monitoring of lightning weather and identification of radar echoes,and using the lightning monitoring data and radar mosaic data from 2015 to 2018,the lightning weather and radar echo characteristics of Yifeng and Shanggao county in Jiangxi province are statistically compared and analyzed.The results show that the frequency and intensity of lightning is increasing gradually in Yifeng and Shanggao in recent years.The squall line echo zone is an important echo system which causes the lightning in Yifeng and Shanggao.The lightning weather is more obvious when the echo zone is curved and forms the bow echo zone.The supercell echo is an important echo system causing lightning in Yifeng and Shanggao.The lightning monitoring can be released through the Automatic Display and Early Warning System of Yifeng Lightning Monitoring Products.
