Abstract In order to understand the systematic differences among various types of radiosonde currently in use,this paper makes statistics on the application of six stations in Guangxi for more than half a year.It is found that the failure rate of the instrument before and after the release of the new type of radiosonde is higher than that of the GTS1 radiosonde before the replacement.Combined with the practical experience of stations,several cases of high failure rate and their solutions are put forward.
