Abstract With the development of meteorological observation automation,the transmission rate,availability rate and accuracy rate of meteorological data are reduced due to the failure and loss of data file transmission.The automatic data backup and alarm is an effective way to solve data file damage and loss.A software for real-time monitoring and automatic safe backup of meteorological data is designed in this paper by using Visual Basic language.The state of real-time monitoring data file generation and sending is realized,and the manual operation of data storage backup is improved.At the same time,the safety of backup is improved,which has the characteristics of automatic,safe and reliable.
