Abstract The business maintenance cost of meteorological equipment is the premise to ensure the normal operation of meteorological observation system equipment.Based on the climate characteristics,this paper comprehensively analyzes the regional differences of meteorological observation system and the causes of different demands for business maintenance costs.Taking the actual situation of Guangdong meteorological department in recent years as an example,the differences of maintenance costs in coastal,inland and northern areas are introduced,in order to provide reference basis for the management department to scientifically and reasonably prepare the annual budget.
