Abstract  This paper introduces the basic structure and deployment steps of the deep-sea submersible buoy, summarizes the role of shipborne ADCP in the deep-sea submersible buoy deployment. The flow speed and direction observed by ADCP can be used to calculate the initial point of submersible buoy deployment, adjust the navigational status of the research vessel and predict the landing location of gravity anchor. The technical reference is provided for the operation of submersible buoy.
