Analysis of the relationship between radar puzzle storm tracking information and high-altitude wind |

Abstract In order to extrapolate the movement of radar echo system,the MICAPS conventional 500 hPa and 700 hPa wind field data and Jiangxi radar puzzle storm tracking information (STI) products are used to compare and analyze the relationship between them.The results show that:1)the combined STI products are superimposed in Jiangxi radar puzzle,which effectively makes up for the lack of reflectivity echo and long-distance calculation error of single radar STI storm tracking information.2)The average moving direction of STI is positively correlated with the average wind direction of 500 hPa and 700 hPa,and the fluctuation trend is basically the same.The moving direction is mostly biased to the right of high-altitude wind,which is closer to the average wind direction of 500~700 hPa.3)The average moving speed of STI is very close to the wind speed of 700 hPa and the average wind speed of 500~700 hPa.These results provide an analytical basis for the extrapolation of radar echo system.
