Abstract  This paper makes a comparative analysis of meteorological optical range data measured by the atmospheric transmittance meter and forward scatter meter installed aside the 03 runway of Yinchuan Hedong International Airport on January 11,2021.It can be concluded that the values measured by forward scatter meter are generally higher than those measured by atmospheric transmittance meter.Under the dusty and snowy weather, excessive difference exists between the values measured by forward scatter meter and by atmospheric transmittance meter and the interchangeability between the two is poor.Under fog and haze weather, good dependency can be obtained between the data measured by the two and the difference value lies within the acceptable range.Besides, good interchangeability is realized.
