Abstract In the meteorological observation work,the freezing fault of the wind direction and wind speed sensor is common in winter.Especially after the rain and snow weather,the bearing of the mechanical wind speed and wind direction sensor is easy to freeze and cannot rotate normally.This will make the measured wind speed smaller or 0 than the actual value,and the wind direction changes slowly or stops in one direction,which seriously affects the meteorological observation record.In addition,the wind direction and wind speed sensor is generally installed on the wind tower and the wind pole,and the freezing fault of the wind direction and wind speed sensor is difficult to deal with.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out anti-freezing transformation of the wind sensor.The freezing condition of wind sensor in automatic weather station is analyzed and the effect of anti-freezing modification of wind sensor is evaluated.
