Analysis on the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics and causes of short-term heavy rainfall in Huangpu,Guangzhou from 2011 to 2021 |

Abstract Based on the hourly precipitation data of 37 automatic weather stations in Huangpu District of Guangzhou from 2011 to 2021,this paper studies the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of short-term heavy precipitation in this area.This paper analyzes the spatial distribution and causes of short-term heavy rainfall,and analyzes the characteristics and causes of annual,monthly and daily changes of short-term heavy rainfall.It is concluded that the frequency of short-term heavy precipitation in the central part of the region is high,and the frequency of short-term heavy precipitation in the north and south is low.The May,June and August are frequent periods of short-term heavy precipitation every year.The diurnal variation of the pre-flood season is unimodal distribution,and the diurnal variation of the post-flood season is bimodal distribution.The conclusions are expected to provide an effective reference for the analysis of short-term heavy rainfall characteristics.
