Abstract:The article summarizes the application methods of geographic information data in the site selection work of the Laibin X-band weather radar,the existing weather radar location information is used to calculate the site selection area.Combined with high-precision elevation data,the proposed site is accurately found,and geographic information data is extracted.Based on field measurement data,occlusion angle azimuth map and equal beam height map are made to provide assistance for analyzing the net space environment of the proposed site.Practice has shown that this method reduces the technical difficulty of site selection,not only improves site selection efficiency,but also increases site selection accuracy and convenience,providing an effective approach for X-band weather radar site selection work.
