Abstract:Based on the hourly meteorological data recorded by the ground observation of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport from 2015 to 2024,this paper studies the evolution of sample occurrence frequency ( compliance rate ) at different time scales when the airport meets the conditions of visual approach-dominant visibility ≥5 000 m and cloud base height ≥800 m.The relationship between different weather phenomena and the compliance rate of airport visual approach meteorological conditions is discussed, and the choice of runway operation mode when reaching the standard is discussed. The results show that the cloud base height is the most critical factor affecting the compliance rate of visual approach meteorological conditions at Guiyang Airport. The compliance rate of meteorological conditions for visual approach to Guiyang Airport is characterized by high in summer and low in winter, high in day and low in night, and high in afternoon and low in morning. The weather phenomena that affect the meteorological conditions of visual approach to Guiyang Airport are mainly divided into three categories.Among them, the fog phenomenon has the highest frequency of influence, and the precipitation phenomenon has the lowest compliance rate. When the meteorological conditions meet the standard,it is more favorable to adopt the southward operation mode during the visual approach of Guiyang Airport. The research results provide meteorological reference for Guiyang Airport to fully carry out the pilot operation of visual approach.
