Abstract:Based on the fundamental theory of climate carrying capacity and meteorological data and social statistical data from Fuzhou,an evaluation index system for Fuzhou's climate carrying capacity was constructed, encompassing 24 indicators across four assessment indices:climate natural capacity, climate extreme event pressure, urban climate pressure, and urban coordinated development capacity. This system quantitatively evaluated the changes in Fuzhou's climate carrying capacity from 2010 to 2021.The results showed that:climate natural capacity slowly increased amid fluctuations, with climate states facing risks due to urban environmental changes, primarily driven by abnormal variations in precipitation and sunshine duration.extreme climate event pressure gradually decreased amid fluctuations, reducing the impact on urban climate and development, with a stronger correlation between annual rainstorm days and the ECI index.urban climate pressure significantly increased,as rapid social development increased the pressure on urban climate, while urban coordinated development capacity showed an upward trend and remained stable after 2017,with technological expenditure having the greatest impact.climate carrying capacity showed a downward trend, with the constraints of climate change on urban development gradually emerging.Climate natural capacity and extreme climate event pressure were key indicators affecting climate carrying capacity.
