Abstract:In order to further explore the climatic characteristics and formation mechanism of rainstorm and improve the accuracy of meteorological forecast,the synoptic causes of the continuous heavy rainstorm process in central Jiangxi from July 8 to October 2020 were analyzed by using conventional meteorological data,regional automatic station data and NCEP 1°× 1° reanalysis data.The results show that the cold vortex in the Taymyr Peninsula moves southward,the Baikal Lake changes from a high pressure ridge to a low pressure trough,and the cold air in the Baikal Lake low trough splits southward continuously,converging with the warm and humid air flow from the South China Sea and the Bay of Bengal in Jiangxi.The 500 hPa short wave trough moves eastward and the surface Meiyu front develops,and together with the "suction" effect of the divergence area of the eastern ridge of the 200 hPa South Asia High,the heavy rainstorm weather in Jiangxi is triggered.The rainstorm area is located in the 850 hPa temperature humidity energy contour gradient intensive area,on the side of the high value area,showing a positive correlation with the 850 hPa water vapor flux convergence.The center of heavy precipitation coincides with the positive center of the vertical helicity at 700 hPa.The research results provide an analytical basis for the prediction and early warning of continuous heavy rainstorm in Jiangxi.
